Or at least, that is what DB BREWERIES invented to sell beer in New Zealand, a beer for which men could finally say no to wine! - Yessssssssssss!

I am not sure yet how wine is linked to these awful hairstyles and jumpers or even if men really were bullied into drinking wine in 1987 but, trust me when I say: this video is hilarious!

J’ai bu du KAGOR.

Et si certains se posent déjà la question, je tiens à préciser que cet article n’aura rien à voir avec la KAGOLE* de Marseille, espèce touchante, cependant de braillarde, de pétasseS du Sud de la France. Non, le Kagor est selon le Guide du Routard  un vin bon marché, une des bouteilles favorites des Russes au repas de fêtes, un vin cuit initialement importé de Cahors, puis produit à Massandra, en Crimée.

La dégustation de ce vin de tradition n’avait rien de l’expérience enivrante & réjouissante que l’on peut voir sur ce tableaux de Chagall. Au nez, un fort parfum de bonbon, de fraise et de banane, comme les mauvais beaujolais nouveaux tant décriés par nos estomacs sensibles… En bouche une impression troublante d’avoir mélangé kir cassis et médicament au caramel. Quant à la robe de ce vin, elle était sombre et pailleté. Mais certainement plus du fait de la pénombre et du jeux de lumière du lieu que de sa couleur intrasèque. Bref, vous l’aurez compris, je jurais qu’on ne m’y prendrai plus.

(Si quelqu’un parmi vous a entendu parler de vins Russes de qualité, je serai très heureuse de pouvoir mettre un peu d’eau dans mon jugement tranché sur un vin édulcoré.)

Ceci dit, la Cantine Russe est l’endroit parfait pour se régaler de Bortsch, de harengs crus et de gâteau au yaourt et siroter une Zubrowska tout en écoutant une jolie moldave en robe Maryline blanche chanter des chansons d’amour en Cyrillique accompagnée d’un guitariste soprano. Je le recommande à tous ceux qui souhaitent vivre une expérience dépaysante en plein Paris!

Turns out, Lidl has built a better brand image in The Nederlands. And that means more endorsement possibilities, prouder consumers and more cash spent on creativity. (And a print campaign and famous Chef Ramon Beuk and a QR code revealing the featured champagne that costs less than 15€. )

I don’t know about you but I’ve always wanted to open a bottle of Champagne like a Formula 1 race winner on the podium and let it all out… !

Yes, you read it: wine o.r.g.a.s.m. Or that very moment of euphoria, that climax of your senses’ sensibility, that sudden and often unexpected rush of pleasure from your body to your mind & soul… This is the surprise I had when opening a bottle of 2009 Casa Marin Sauvignon Gris from Chili.

Sophia, a good friend of mine who works for UK wine distributor Mentzendorff, had warned me: ‘It’s a sexy wine babe. Drink it with oysters and your boyfriend at hand’s reach.’  She was right as always. The nose was overwhelming: white fruits, vanilla, even a whiff of white truffles if I’m not mistaken. Voluptuous, round even sensuous in the mouth it was balanced and fresh, a complex blend of fruits & flowers… a bliss of a wine! ( Useless to say oysters were the perfect match.)

So if you’re planning on spending a romantic New Year’s Eve*, forget about champagne for that one time; this might well be the wine for you!
