What a night! We opened 22 bottles, tasted as many, learnt, ate and laughed until it was too cold and too dark outside to even think about leaving. I did eventually. But only because it was a monday night.
Now, the equation that made it possible = 1 generous invitation from Grains Nobles, Paris + 1 passionate wine maker (Didier Barré from Domaine Berthoumieu) + his sunny southern accent + 11 of his bottles that we tasted respectfully + an after party (5 lovely people + 11 other bottles that we blind-tasted humbly then drank merrily!)
